Duranguense is closely related to the Mexican styles of banda and norteño. Montez de durango, Alacranes Musical, Horoscopos de durango, are some of the groups enjoying major popularity.
In Brazil, Axé music is a popular music genre originated in Salvador, Bahia, approximately 1986, and fusing different Afro-Brazilian genres. Youth people really like it and dance to it. Today, Ivete Sagalo is the most representative singer of this genre. |
