2 day in Brussels

I am planning to take a short trip (alone) to Brussels during my trip to London and Czech. However as I speak no French or German or Spanish, I am worried if I will encounter a lot of trouble in Brussels? I heard that most of the signages are not in English and people do not speak a lot of English either. Can anydboy advice?

also I found that there is no flight from London to Brussels but can only take Eurostar. However it is so expensive? Is there any alternative means of transport from London to Brussels? And what are the cheaper means to get a eurostar ticket? Many thanks!

You should not have any troubles in Brussels. A lot of people speak English. it's a very cosmopolitan city (because so many International institution have their seat there) and in the touristic area, people HAVE to speak English.
There are flights from Brussels to London. SN-Airlines, British Airways, British Midland, Lufthansa... I saw that a one-way from Brussels to London with SN Airlines was 85 US$. Of course, it depends when you leave.
You can have a Eurostar ticket for as little as 45 US$ but there are a lot of restriction (like you have to leave on certains days, during certain time an spend a night in London or buy a return ticket -which probably doesn't help you)...
